No Fuss Ceiling Tin Project

Are you looking for a project that's cheap and easy? Well, look no further. All you need is an old frame with glass, a rusty crusty ceiling tin and some leftover clear adhesive dots (from card-making or scrapbooking).

Place clear dots along the front edges of the ceiling tile making sure not to touch them with your fingertips or it may compromise the sticky factor. Only use the paper strip provided with the product. I used eight dots to ensure they could withstand the tin's weight. Press the tin against the backside of the glass allowing it to stick. Omit replacing the cardboard backing of the frame and use the wall color as your matte!

Not bad for a $2 church rummage sale frame and a $2 ceiling tin from a flea market, eh?

As always, take care and keep on junking!

  5. Candy:
I really like this. It has all the elements I look for in a project...inexpensive, easy, and gorgeous! I have a large piece of ceiling tile that might be hard to find a frame for. I may have to see if it could be cut (without compromising the integrity of the tile design)....sorry I'm rambling here...it's just that you got me thinking!!

  8. You're so smart. I love this! Simple and perfect. Yesterday I hung a small tin tile like this up in my 1/2 bath (I just re-did the bath, check out our blog if you haven't seen it yet from Saturday), but it doesn't have enough "punch". I was going to try and find a large frame to place around it, (you'd be seeing some of the wall, like yours) but I love the fact that you kept the glass in it...wonderful! Thanks for sharing! Andrea
